Outstanding
Maine Resort Dining
Get your just desserts! Our Maine resort is widely known for serving
outstanding premium home-cooked meals in a relaxed and congenial
setting. Our menu items reflect their “Down East” origins and are
expertly prepared with the highest quality ingredients. All of our
meals are served in the good old-fashioned “family style” tradition.
This is superior to conventional restaurant dining in that our
entrees are presented on the table in large bowls and platters and
guests are free to serve themselves. This ensures that your food is
always plentiful and hot, and that you get precisely what you
want…just like a fancy meal at home.
Maine Resorts Dining Packages
Full service American plan dining (i.e. breakfast, lunch, and
dinner) is available for our all inclusive American Plan customers
as described below. Vacation packages and meals change by season.
Our customers should view the American plan
spring/fall dining options at the top of the page. Meals available
to our Maine family resort summer vacation customers are listed
further down the page.
Note also that during the summer we make a few of our fancy dinner
meals available to the public, which includes those staying in our
housekeeping cabin rentals.
These “dinner only” options are also described below.
American Plan Dining Options
Spring & Fall Full-Service
American Plan
The following meals are prepared for our cabin rental guests on the American Plan
from May 8-July 5 (“Spring”) and Sept 11-30, 2009 (“Fall”), with the
exception listed below**:

full-service American Plan menu
Dinner - We offer our guests the traditional home cooked
dinners that have always been the cornerstone of our unique dining
experience. The entrees include Ribeye Steaks, Roast Loin of Pork,
Pot Roast of Beef , BBQ Chicken with Fettuccine Alfredo, Baked Ham
with Pineapple Sauce, and a Sunday “Thanksgiving style” turkey
dinner. All of our dinners are complimented with crisp salads, tasty
side dishes, our ever popular home baked oatmeal bread, pastries,
and pies…all of which are “home made” and baked fresh daily. All
fountain drinks and coffee are also included, and if you “BYOB”,
we’ll provide the glasses.
Lunch - We are one of only a handful of lodges that take the
time to prepare a hearty hot lunch for our American Plan guests each
day. These excellent dishes are prepared with accompanying
desserts. Examples include: Turkey Pot Pie with Biscuits, Beef Stew,
Hot Pork Sandwiches, and American Chop Suey (Goulash). These are
especially appreciated on cooler days in the early and late fishing
seasons (quality packed lunches prepared if requested) and ensure
that you are finished eating and back out on the water in short
order. See menu below for further details.
Breakfast
- The morning menu includes a great variety of options. Examples
include eggs cooked any style, pancakes, blueberry pancakes, French
toast, breakfast meats like ham, sausage, and bacon, homemade
oatmeal bread toast, a variety of juices, cereals if desired, and
plenty of good hot coffee or tea.
** Exception to the above meal plan: From June 10-July 5, and
Sept 7-10, substitute a packed lunch for the hot lunch. Packed
lunches include a quality sandwich of your choice, usually ham,
roast beef, pork, turkey, tuna, or BLT. They also include chips,
cookies or brownies, etc., and a large soda of your choice.
Summer Season American Plan
The following meals are prepared for our summer resort guests on the
American Plan from July 6 - Sept 7, 2009.

Plan menu
Dinner - On Wednesday through Sunday we offer the traditional
home cooked dinners which are the cornerstone of our unique dining
experience. On Wednesday evening we serve our popular Roast Loin of
Pork dinner. This is followed by BBQ Chicken with Fettuccine Alfredo
on Thursday, and Baked Ham with Pineapple Sauce on Friday (the same
as the Spring/Fall plan). However, during the summer season there
are two additional dinner options available to our guests on
Thursday and Friday: 1) Ribeye steaks, or 2) Grilled Atlantic Salmon
in dill/butter sauce (note that a moderate mark-up will be added for
selection of these non-traditional options, and they must be
scheduled in advance). On Saturday we serve our famous Pot Roast of Beef and on
Sunday our big “Thanksgiving Style” Turkey Dinner (all dinners are
now served at 6
pm). If you are at the Lodge on Monday and Tuesday we feature
an "Italian Night" on Monday (menu varies) and
Southern Style BBQ Pork Ribs on Tuesday. All of our
entrees are complimented with crisp salads, tasty side dishes,
pastries or pies. In addition, most of our meals are highlighted by
our ever popular oatmeal bread which is baked fresh daily.
Lunch - We prepare quality lunches packed to go: a sandwich
of your choice (standard options include ham, roast beef, pork,
turkey, tuna, or BLT), chips, cookies or brownies, etc., and a large
soda of your choice (or bottled water).
Breakfast - Out "big country breakfast" includes eggs cooked any style, pancakes
and blueberry pancakes, French toast,
home fries, breakfast meats like ham, sausage, and bacon, homemade oatmeal bread
toast, a variety of juices, cereals if desired, and plenty of good
hot coffee or tea. This breakfast is available from 7:30 to 8:30 am.
Summer
Restaurant: Dinners Available to The Public including Housekeeping &
Overnight Guests
During the summer season (from June 24-Sept 6, 2009) the following
full course dinners* will be prepared and made available to the
public from Wednesday through Sunday of each week. Advance
reservations are required.

Note that our summer restaurant is different from a conventional
“menu item” restaurant in that all of our meals are served “family
style”. This means that the entrees (all except steak & Atlantic
salmon), side dishes and salads are kept filled in large
bowls/platters on the table for self service, and homemade bread,
bottomless hot and cold drinks, and dessert are all included in the
one meal price. When meals are served in this manner, your food is
always plentiful and hot, and you get precisely what you want…just
like a fancy meal at home.
Dinner Options - Wednesday through Sunday we offer the
traditional home cooked dinners which are the cornerstone of our
unique dining experience. The entrees include Ribeye Steaks, Roast
Loin of Pork, Pot Roast of Beef , BBQ Chicken with Fettuccine
Alfredo, Baked Ham with Pineapple Sauce, and a Sunday “Thanksgiving
style” turkey dinner (all dinners are now served at 6 pm). During the 2009 season, Thursday and Friday
nights will again include three entrees instead of just one to pick
from. Thursday’s menu will include ribeye steak or grilled Atlantic
salmon or the BBQ chicken option, and Friday’s menu will include ribeye
steak or grilled Atlantic Salmon or the baked ham option. All of our
dinners are complimented with crisp salads, tasty side dishes, and
our ever popular home baked oatmeal bread, pastries, and pies…all of
which are baked fresh daily.
* All dinners are now served promptly at 6:00
pm. Kids 12
and under are $2.00 off the adult price (except for steak and salmon
meals which are the full adult price). Also breakfast and lunch is
not offered, and dinner on Monday and Tuesday is not offered, except
for those guests on the American Plan.
