Rideout’s offers choice Maine
vacation rentals and packages for fishermen in the spring and fall
along with cabin rentals for families in the
summer. Early and late in the year our cabins are
filled with bass and salmon and fly fishermen
sharing stories over hearty meals. During summer
vacations, our cabin rentals fill with families enjoying water
sports and outdoor recreation on our crystal clear lake.
Full-Service American Plan
Vacation Rentals
For
those unfamiliar with the term “American plan”, at
Rideout’s it means simply a “food and Maine vacation
rental
package” or an "all inclusive vacation package", whether it be fishing
"food and lodging
packages” or family summer vacation "food and
lodging packages”.
Our
American plan cabin rentals are also associated with
various customer services which vary by the time of
year that you may visit. In the spring, we are a
“full-service” American plan facility. By
“full-service” we mean that there is daily maid
service as well as several dock and boat related
services. In the summer we are a “limited-service”
facility to keep our American plan resort packages
affordable for families with children. These
families typically want clean comfortable cabin rentals and fine food, but don’t want the added
expense of full dock service. However, limited
maid service is still part of your service in the
summer.

Our
American plan cabins
are lined up along our small sandy beach about 8
feet back from the lake. These Maine cabin rentals sleep from
2 to 4, and more than one (often adjacent to each
other) are typically booked for parties larger than
4. All rentals are fully supplied with fresh bed
linens, vellux blankets, and towels for your
convenience. Log siding and warm knotty-pine wood
interiors blend well with the comfortable furniture
and fixtures. The cabins are exceptionally clean and
have all the modern necessities - automatic heat,
shower, flush toilets, electricity, and hot and cold
running water.
Family Summer Fun
In the Main Lodge Building
Guests are welcome to use the
facilities in our large main Lodge building as they
wish for fun and relaxation. In particular many of
our “regulars” enjoy challenging each other to board
games, cards, or ping pong in the evening. Others
may watch sports via satellite or a good movie on
our large lodge TV (bring your favorite videos to
share).
Larger Cabins For
Large American Plan Parties
Also, if you are planning to book a
vacation for at least a week on the American plan (7
nights minimum), our largest cabins with kitchens may
be booked by parties of 4 adults or more. Not only
are the cabin rentals larger, but many are situated
on larger lots and most have full length screen
porches to enjoy the night air.
