Rideout’s offers choice American plan resort
all inclusive vacation packages in the summer for families with their
children.
In
the summer months our food and lodging family resort
packages are tailored for the Moms and Dads that
work hard all year and don’t want to work while on
vacation. In other words this plan is perfect for
parents that want a “break from cooking” while on
vacation.

Our
American plan packages are referred to as a “resort”
vacation because many of the features often found in those high priced resorts in southern Maine
can also be found here….but at a significant
savings. True, the drive is a couple of hours
longer and our grounds aren’t as spacious, but there are many similarities….pleasing lake views, wonderful home
cooked food, comfortable accommodations, and the
good old-fashioned wholesome family fun
that many of us remember from the 50s and 60s.
Summer Family Fun In Lakefront Cabins
By
fun we mean primarily water sports and outdoor
recreation, like swimming, boating, canoeing,
kayaking, wildlife viewing, sunbathing, and sailing
(if you are lucky enough to own a sailboat). But
note that there are actually some important advantages that
we have over our resort neighbors to the south.
First, we are on a largely undeveloped, expansive (22
mile long), pristine lake without condominiums
lining the shoreline....one of the
largest lakes in Maine! Second,
we don’t have crowds of people and boaters to
ruin the fun. And third, we have excellent fishing.

your “hands down” choice for a quality family summer
vacation that is also a quality fishing vacation.

Summer
The following meals are prepared for
our summer guests on the American Plan from July 5-Sept
6, 2010:
· Dinner
-
On Wednesday through Sunday we offer the traditional
home cooked dinners which are the cornerstone of our
unique dining experience. On Wednesday evening we
serve our popular Roast Loin of Pork dinner. This
is followed by BBQ Chicken with Fettuccine Alfredo
on Thursday, and Baked Ham with Pineapple Sauce on
Friday (the same as the Spring/Fall plan). However,
during the summer season there are two additional
dinner options available to our guests on Thursday
and Friday: 1) one pound Ribeye steaks, or 2)
Grilled Atlantic Salmon in dill/butter sauce (note
that a moderate mark-up will be added for selection
of these non-traditional options, and they must be
scheduled in advance). On Saturday we serve
Pot Roast of Beef and on Sunday our big
“Thanksgiving Style” Turkey Dinner (all dinners served at 6 pm). If you are
at the Lodge on Monday and Tuesday dinners include
Cheesy Meat Lasagna on Monday and Southern Style BBQ
Pork Ribs on Tuesday.
All of our entrees are complimented with crisp
salads, tasty side dishes, pastries or pies.
In addition, most of our meals are highlighted by
our ever popular oatmeal bread which is baked fresh
daily.
· Lunch

We prepare quality lunches packed to go: a sandwich
of your choice (standard options include ham, roast
beef, pork, turkey, tuna, or BLT), chips, cookies or
brownies, etc., and a soda of your choice (or
bottled water).
· Breakfast
-
Includes eggs cooked any style,
pancakes, French toast, breakfast meats like ham,
sausage, and bacon, homemade oatmeal bread toast, a
variety of juices, cereals if desired, and plenty of
good hot coffee or tea. This breakfast is
available from 7:30 to 8:30 am.

Summer American Plan Resort Rates for
2010
Available
July 5- Sept 6, 2010. A 3 night minimum stay is
required. Includes your private Maine
cabin rental and three premium home cooked meals,
two of which are served in our lakeside dining room.
Meals include a full hot breakfast, made-to-order
packed lunch and family style premium dinner.
Includes maid service, gas and
other minor services on the dock. Also includes
unrestricted access to the lodge building,
fisherman’s lounge, recreation room (with satellite
TV), sandy beach, boat launch & free ice service. Also
includes free use of our kayaks, canoes, and
paddleboat on East Grand Lake*. Note also that
some non-traditional (special summer only) dinner
entrees may be substituted for our traditional AP
dinner entrees for a nominal up-charge on Thursday
and Friday of each week (e.g. ribeye
steak and/or grilled Atlantic salmon may be
substituted for the BBQ Chicken and Baked Ham
dinners). Substitutions must be arranged in advance.
Meals may not be available on Monday and
Tuesday each week for smaller groups (call for meal
availability on these days), except we will be
serving all meals the first two weeks of
August...our "family weeks":

July 5-11: $88/person/day (2 adults); $112
(1 adult),
2 kids less than 3 free, 3 to 5 - $42/day, 6 to 12 - $57/day, 13 to 15-
$75/person/day**.

July 12-Sept 6:
a) Short Term (less than 7 nights):
$82/pers/day (2 adults), $76/pers/day (3 or more
adults in same cabin), $109 (1 adult), 2 kids less than 3 free, 3 to
5 - $37, 6 to 12 - $52, 13
to 15 - $68/pers/day**.
b) Saturday to Saturday (weekly packages): $78/pers/day
(2 adults), $72/pers/day (3 or more
adults in same cabin), $107 (1 adult),
2 kids less than 3 free, 3 to 5 - $32, 6-12 - $48, 13 to 15 - $64/pers/day**.
*Does not include kayak or canoe use on river trips.
Gratuities: It is customary to tip from
10%-15% of the food and cabin rental portion of the
bill.
Taxes: Rate does not include Maine State
sales tax, currently 7%.
**Kids Rates: Kids rates apply when accompanied by 2
adults (If 1 adult & 1 or more children, use 1
adult rate
for adult).
Note: If certain larger Maine cabins on the lake are
elected (those requiring a 7 night minimum stay), a
short walk to the dining room is required for meals
(approx. 5 to 10 minutes) and towels (if needed) are
accessed through the waitresses at the lodge after
meals. Additional light maid services is also
provided for weekly guests.
