Discounts for “Off-Peak” Cabin
Rentals in Maine at Rideout's
Do you have the flexibility to
vacation at our rental cabins in Maine, during our off-peak season? Over the past 3
years we have been nearly 100% booked during much of
our business season, leaving us with a shortage of
housekeeping cabin rentals. If you are retired, self
employed, have no dependents, or for any other
reason can plan a Maine vacation during our “off-peak”
season, we will apply a discount to your cabin rental rate. If you are interested in cabin rentals in
Maine during the summer, a visit during
the warm, dry, quiet and more relaxed late August
and early September period may be of interest to
you and your family. These weeks usually feature the best weather
of the year in Maine! If you are interested
in
Maine fishing, consider early May and late
September for excellent landlocked salmon
(bass may also be good in late Sept). Finally if
autumn colors interest you, the first week in
October is “just the ticket”.
Note that all of these vacation discounts
apply to weekly cabin rentals only.
Lake View Cabins - Take 5%
to 10% Discount
These vacation discounts apply to our newly
enlarged and upgraded lake view
housekeeping cabin rentals in Maine (see lakefront discounts below) which are located in a
cluster of cabins near the main lodge building. Discounts will be applied as specified
below for the indicated weeks. Cabin numbers
included are as follows: #5, #6, #7, #8/9, #10, #11,
#14, #15, and #25. All of these cabins have been
recently renovated and are truly “first class” lake
side lodging. Many have new kitchens, new screened
porches, and new bedroom additions. Most are from 25 to 60 feet back from the small
sandy beach and most have very pleasing lake views.
The vacation discounts apply only to weekly
rentals during the 2008 season:

Cabin #11 & #25 in upper half
First week in May
- 4/26-5/3, Sat to Sat (or 4/26-5/2 Sat to Fri week -
if applicable - rate adjusted for 6 day week and
discount applied), 10% discount: Are
you hearty? Often the best landlocked salmon
fishing of the season, but also often cooler and
more rain than later weeks in May.
Last week in August
- 8/23-8/30, Sat to Sat (or 8/23-8/29 Sat to Fri week
- if applicable - rate adjusted for 6 day week and
discount applied), 5% discount:
Usually the best week of the entire year for dry,
warm, “summer” weather in Maine. One of the least
buggy weeks of the season. The first week that many
kids go back to school in New England so the setting
is more relaxed and quieter.
First week in September
- 8/30-9/6, Sat to Sat, 10% discount:
Usually the second best week of the entire year for
dry warm weather...never too hot. One of the least
buggy weeks of the season. The kids are back in
school in most of New England so the setting is more
relaxed and quieter.
Second week in September
- 9/6-9/13, Sat to Sat, 5% discount:
Just a hint of the cooler weather that will soon
follow. Usually still very dry. Minimal bugs.
Often a cool crisp invigorating feel in the air in
the morning when you get up. The bass fishing
can be quite good, and salmon may be excellent by the
end of the week depending on how cool the weather
gets.
First week in October
-9/27-10/4, Sat to Sat, 5% discount:
Usually the first excellent leaf peeping week of the
year. Minimal bugs. Peaceful, quiet and relaxing
Maine vacations.
Fishing closes on East Grand Lake 2 hours after dark
on Sept 30th.

Cabin #22 - Great view
Lake Front Cabins - Take 5% Discount
These discounts apply
to our large lakefront cabin rentals
in Maine which are located on
large wooded lots in our “lower half” (except for
the Anchorfast cabin). Cabin numbers include: #16,
#18, #19, #24, #26, and the Anchorfast
cabin on the north side of East Grand Lake. Discounts will be applied as specified
below for the indicated weeks. All accommodations
are large, and most have a double in one bedroom, a
double (or two singles) in another bedroom, and a
set of bunks in the greatroom (living room/dining
room). All have full length screen porches to enjoy
the night air, and unobstructed views of the lake.
All of these cabins also have their own docks. The following weeks are available at a
discount in 2008. The discounts apply to
weekly rentals only:
First week in May
