We are known as a cabin rental facility that specializes in
outdoor recreation and water sports for the
whole family. In the summer our emphasis is on
the "wholesome family fun" that you may remember
from the time you were a child. Activities
include the simple pleasures of swimming,
fishing and sunbathing as well as boat related
activities like canoeing, kayaking, paddle
boating, water skiing and power boating across
the lake. Our Maine cabin rentals are also know
as a prime location for sailing. With minimal
boat traffic, beautiful vistas, and cool breezes
we encourage families with small trailerable
sailboats to enjoy the pleasures of sailing our

Our abundant wildlife and rugged, beautiful
mixed forests make Rideout's also a destination
location for ecotourism and nature photography.
Nature tours are available
including wildlife viewing and bird watching,
both of which can be done on our guided canoe
trips. Wildlife in the local area are numerous
and varied and many wonderful birds are present
also including in particular some notable birds
of prey and waterfowl. Our guided canoe trips
are also
 very
popular with nature seekers and a registered
Maine guide will add an educational component as
you learn about our complex ecosystem as you
